We do not control those third-partywebsites or content and are not responsible for their privacy statements or theway in which they collect or use your data.

 Where you access or usethird party services or integrations provided by an event organiser,advertiser, sponsor or any other party who participates in an event, weencourage you to request details of and read the privacy policy of that party.We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their privacystatements or the way in which they collect or use your data.

  

4.  POLICY

Whenever you use the platform expertshare and its servicesexpertshare may request some personal information about you.

 

·     expertsharecollects some of your personal data when you register directly on our Platformto participate in a professional event.

 

·     expertsharecollects some of your personal data, when an event organiser wishes to provideyou with our services within the context of the event for which you areregistered and sends us your contact details in order that we may contact you.

 

Certaininformation is contractually required to use our services. For example, toaccess expertshare`s platform you need to provide your name and email address.If you fail to provide required information, you will not be able to access ourservices or we will not be able to perform the agreement we have or are tryingto enter into with you.

Wedo not knowingly collect, retain or process personal information from childrenunder the age of 13.

5.  TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA

“Personal Data” designates all data that allows an individual tobe identified directly or indirectly, in particular by your:

 

·    Identity data suchas image, name, username, marital status, title date of birth and gender.

 

·    Contact data suchas postal and email addresses

 

·    Transaction datasuch as payment details or details of products and services you have accessedor used through the expertshare services

·    Profile data suchas username and password, your purchases, your interests volunteer record,preferences feedback and survey responses.

 

·    Usage data such asinformation about how you use our services as well as as third-party platformswhich you have linked to your use of our services.

 

·    Marketing andcommunications data such as your preferences in receiving marketing form us andour third party partners and your communication preferences.

 

·    User generatedcontent such as data you submit as part of an event or as a result of yourinteractions with the expertshare services such as event materials, videos,chats and messaging.

 

 

6.   COLLECTIONAND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

 Your personal data is collected and processed for one orseveral of the following purposes:

 

·    To manage your access to and useof the services available on the Platform.

 

·    To carry out customer managementoperations relating to contracts, invoices, follow-ups with customers, etc.

 

·    To compile a list of registeredmembers, users, customers and prospective customers.

 

·    To issue newsletters, invitationsand promotional advertisements. Should you not wish to receive these, we offeryou the option to refuse them at the moment your data is being collected.

 

·    To send yousuggestions for networking connections with other users of the Platform. Shouldyou not wish to receive these, we offer you the option to refuse them at themoment your data is being collected.

 

·    To compilecommercial and web traffic statistics for our services.

 

·    To manage reviewson products, services or content.

 

·    To manage unpaidinvoices and potential disputes regarding the use of our products and services.

 

·    To adhere to ourlegal and regulatory obligations.

 

Your personal data is collected by different methods:

 

·      Directinteractions: You may give us your Identity Data, Contact Data and otherinformation by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by email orotherwise.

Cookies are small data files storedon your hard drive or in device memory that help us to improve the expertshare servicesand your experience, see which areas and features of our Services are popularand count visits. This information may be usedby expertshare and others to, among other things, analyze and track data,determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and contenttargeted to your interests on the expertshare services and other websites andbetter understand your online activity.

 

When requesting your personal data, we will inform you, ifcertain information must be provided or if it is optional. We shall also informyou of the consequences should you not wish to provide this information.

We also inform you that we are likely to collect your dataindirectly, either from organisers of events which you are attending, and thusenabling you to use our services, or from other users of our services.

In this respect, you are hereby informed that we may reuseyour personal data that is stored in the address book of another user of ourservices who has expressly authorized us to access their contacts to put you incontact with each other.

 

 

7.   RECIPIENTS

 Wewill share your personal data with the following recipients:

 

·       Serviceproviders acting as processors who provide our IT and system administrationservices

 

·       Providersof our cloud services such as Aamazon Web Services

 

·       Ourthird-party partners, integration providers, and affiliates whom you engagewith through the use of the expertshare services.

 

·       Hosts or Event organisers whose events you attend through youruse of the expertshare services. Theevent organiser may use this data for the same purposes and under the sameconditions as those referred to in this policy. The event organiser remainssolely responsible for their own legal and declarative obligations with regardto their processing of your personal data, which they carry out themselves,with their own means and for their own requirements. We are only responsiblefor our use of your personal data, this excluding any other use by the eventorganiser.

 

·       Professionaladvisers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers who provideconsultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services.

 

·      Government agencies or representatives of the law for the sole purposesof meeting our legal obligations.

 

·       Inconnection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale or transfer ofcompany assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.

 

We may generate, and share withorganisers of events for which you are registered, usage statistics collectedby individuals during an event, in order to calculate the rate of use of ourservices and have a clear understanding of interactions within their community.This data includes both anonymous generic usage data and personal data relatedto events organized by the organiser and for which you are registered.

 

 

8.    DATA RETENTION PERIOD

 We will only retain your personal datafor as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for,including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accountingor reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer periodin the event of a complaint, if we reasonably believe there is a prospect oflitigation in respect to our relationship with you, or as required or permittedby applicable law.

 

To determine the appropriate retentionperiod for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of thepersonal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosureof your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data andwhether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicablelegal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.

 

 

9.   DATASECURITY

We have put in place commerciallyreasonable security measures to prevent your personal data from beingaccidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered ordisclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees,agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know.They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they aresubject to a duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to dealwith any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicableregulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so. That said, nomethod of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannotguarantee absolute data security.

 

In this regard, we respect thesecurity measures put in place by our data hosting provider, Amazon WebServices.

  

10.DATATRANSFER

We will transfer your personal dataoutside your country of residence, including the European Region andSwitzerland, in our performance of the services. When we transfer personal dataout of the EEA, we ensure an appropriate degree of protection is afforded to itby ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

We will only transfer your personaldata to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level ofprotection for personal data by the European Commission.

 

 

11. LEGALBASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR DATA

The basis for the processing ofpersonal data in Switzerland is Art. 4 et seq. of the DSG. Insofar as theprocessing falls under the scope of the GDPR, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a – f DSGVOforms the legal basis for processing operations of personal data. Insofar as weobtain the consent of the data subject for processing of personal data, Art. 6para. 1 lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legalbasis for the processing of personal data. When processing personal data thatis necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is aparty, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also appliesto processing operations which are necessary to carry out pre-contractualmeasures. Insofar as processing of personal data is necessary to fulfill alegal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPRserves as the legal basis. In the event that vital interests of the datasubject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Art.6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR serves as the legal basis. If the processing is necessaryto safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or of a third party and ifthe interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do notoutweigh the former interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legalbasis for the processing

 

12. YOURRIGHTS

Undercertain circumstances, you have the right to obtain and, where appropriate,rectify or delete any data concerning you:

 

·      Request access toyour personal data (commonly known as a “subject access request”). This enablesyou to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and certaininformation to check that we are lawfully processing it.

 

·      Request correctionof the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have anyincomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, though we may needto verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.

 

·      Request erasure ofyour personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personaldata where there are valid grounds for doing so and subject to applicable law.

 

·      Request restrictionof processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend theprocessing of your personal data

 

·      Right to dataportability. You may have the right to receive certain of your information in astructured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit suchinformation to another controller.

·      Withdraw consent atany time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data.However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried outbefore you withdraw your consent.

13.AMENDMENTS

We reserve the right to amend thisPrivacy Policy at any moment, at our sole discretion, either in its entirety orin part. Such amendments shall come into effect once the new policy ispublished.

Your use of the Platform following theentry into effect of these amendments, shall constitute acknowledgement andacceptance of the new policy. Failing that, and if you are not in agreementwith the new policy, you should refrain from accessing expertshare.
